WINNER!

PRIX DE MONTREAL 2002

at the World Film Festival in Montreal.

On September 2, 2002, "Various Positions" won the coveted
Prix de Montreal for best feature film by an emerging filmmaker.

Pictures of the award ceremony will hopefully be up soon; the film-maker in question (me) was back in Vancouver celebrating my birthday at the time. Accepting the award was my brother, whom I understand was dressed in a cassock.

Everyone at "Various Positions" would like to thank the jury, the organizers, programmers and volunteers at the festival, both for the award and for their openness and generosity. And a big thanks to the people of Montreal who gave the film a great premiere and an enthusiastic welcome!
